Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini
Shari Springer Berman (born July 1964 in New York City, New York, USA) and Robert Pulcini (born August 24, 1964 in New York City, New York, USA) are a team of documentarians who received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for their feature film directorial debut, 2003's American Splendor.[1] In 2010, The Extra Man premiered at the Sundance festival.[2] The Emmy-nominated Cinema Verite, a 2011 HBO Drama film directed by Berman and Pulcini, premiered on April 23, 2011.[3][4]
Berman graduated from Wesleyan University (Phi Beta Kappa). Both filmmakers received master's degrees in film from Columbia University.[5] The couple married in 1994.
